Mrs Anuli Ausbeth -Ajagu - Founder / Executive Director

Anuli Chioma Ausbeth-Ajagu was born in Onitsha Anambra State Nigeria. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Jos Nigeria (1991), a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute Journalism Lagos, as well as a master’s degree (MSC) in Mass Communication, from Enugu State University of Technology (2002). She bagged distinctions in both her PGD and Master’s Degree programmes.

Mrs. Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is a playwright; versatile in oral and written communication; a self sacrificing voice of influence and agent of change. She has had working experience in various organizations over the years, with diverse experience in communication, human resource development, public relations, administration and management. Part of her working experience includes Leventis Group, Wizcount Technologies, Cetep City University; where she lectured in the mass communication department, Oak hotels, and Oxford hotels. She was equally an actress in the defunct Nigerian national soap opera Fortunes/Mega Fortunes in the 1993/1994 where she featured as Gloria.

An indigene of Nnewi in Anambra State, she is a human capacity developer, counsellor, mentor and mother figure to many. A versatile communicator, she has written and published over five hundred articles in various media locally and internationally. In 2003, she began writing a weekly column World of Youths in Encomium weekly magazine and the year 2013 marks her tenth anniversary as a consistent media columnist. She also wrote columns in The Sun Newspapers, Thisday Newspaper, Children of Africa Magazine and Comet Newspapers. She also has a column for Women in Leadership, in the United Kingdom published Leadership & Lifestyle Magazine, as well as a Success Zone column in the prestigious AES Digest; a publication of the Academy for Entrepreneurial studies Nigeria.

Mrs. Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is also the author of several published books including some gender-sensitive titles, like the drama Nwanyibuife (a woman is to be reckoned with), Maiden (an inspirational novel), The King’s Verdict, ( a storybook), Stigma from the Past (an motivational novel). Some of her other titles include children’s books like Happy Days ahead, The Sly Guy (an educational story on HIV/AIDS), Jesus The Anointed One (a bible story) and A date with Tina (a moral advocacy book). Her motivational titles include Success Secrets Uncovered and Don’t Write Me Off. She has also been published in several journals and anthologies including the Association of Nigerian authors’ anthology, WRITA/British council anthology, and several independent journals.

As a public speaker, she addresses diverse audiences; academic institutions, corporate, management, social, business and religious groups. As a professional, she has been a member of several professional bodies including Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Association of Nigerian authors (ANA), Women Writers of Nigeria (WRITA), Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, amongst others. She has received several awards including the Transparent Patriotism Award of the Leadership Trust Foundation, Outstanding Intellectual Award of the Nigerian Economic Students Association Lagos State University (2008), as well as the Outstanding Leadership Honours Awards of the Association of Theatre Arts Students, Lagos State University. She is also the recipient of the Association of Nigeria Authors award for children’s literature (2001) for her gender-sensitive book, The King’s Verdict, and was a nominee of the Pat Utomi Book Prize (2005) for her gender-sensitive drama, ‘Nwanyibuife’. Some other awards she has received include: Outstanding Personality award by Nimo Youth Forum (Dec.2006), Fellowship Award of Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies Nigeria, DIAMOND Award for youth mentoring by VIVA L’AMOUR Lions Club Ikeja Lagos, (2009), The Future Stars Youth Network Award of honour (2009), Excellence Award by Association Of Theatre arts students LASU (2009), etc.

Mrs. Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is a faculty member and fellow of the Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies Nigeria (AES), as well as a board member of the AES Excellence Club; Nigeria’s leading intellectual organization. She is a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, patron, Association of Theatre Arts Students Lagos State University, a member, board of trustees, Centre for Inter-religious Relations in Africa, Member, board of trustees, LYDIA Christian Businesswomen Network, Matron of The Sustainable Green Lagos Forum; an environment conscious NGO, amongst several positions she holds for the benefit of mankind.

Rev. (Mrs.) Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu, who is an ordained minister, is the initiator of a faith based organization, Divine Heritage Gospel Ministry under whose platform she undertakes her spiritual outreaches.

She founded the dynamic non – religious, non-governmental organization; Youth and Gender Network (YGN), to serve as a platform for empowerment, inspiration, advocacy and development of womenfolk and youths in Nigeria. This NGO, which was registered with the Corporate Affairs Abuja in 2004, reaches out to people of all creed, status, colour and tribe. Youth and Gender Network has organized several national youth summits with huge participation of youths from all over the nation, as part of its effort to developing the capacity of the future leaders and promoting peaceful coexistence and nation building. The NGO has organized numerous seminars, workshops/skills acquisition training, literacy programmes and community support initiatives for the poor. YGN has consistently made remarkable impact in the Nigerian nation as bridge builders, positive change agents, and development advocates.

Mrs Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu through her various platforms, reaches out to vulnerable groups like orphans and poor widows, as well as poor communities like the Makoko community. As a girl-child and youth mentor, she has organized and hosted several girls’ and mentors,’ as well as teens and mentors’ programmes.

A widely travelled woman, some of the countries she has visited include the United States of America, United Kingdom, Ireland, India, Israel, Egypt, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Spain, Switzerland, Ghana, Republic of Benin, amongst others. Having grown up in Nigeria and spent most of her adult life there, Canada is also home for her. She is married to Dr. Ausbeth Nnamdi Ajagu MFR, and they are blessed with three lovely children. Mrs Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu is committed to adding value; deploying all her God - given talents and skills for the development of the human society.

Prof. (Mrs) Akachi Theodora Adimora - Ezeigbo - Honourable Member, Board of Trustees

PROFESSOR AKACHI EZEIGBO is a professor at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She was a visiting common wealth fellow at SOAS, University of London in 1989/90 and a Research fellow at University of Natal, Pietermaritzburg, South Africa in 1999/2000. She is a renowned gender activist, writer, researcher and expert on gender matters. She has several published works to her credit and is a recipient of several literary awards, including the WORDOC short stories completion (1994), Association of Nigerian Authors Spectrum Prize, Flora Nwapa Prize for Women’s writing, Zulu Sofola Prize, etc. Her novel was also short listed for the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (N.L.N.G) prestigious literary prize in year 2004.

Prof. (Mrs) Akachi Ezeigbo’s Passion for gender and allied issues, her wealth of experience and research are the driving force of her membership of the Board of Trustees of Youth and Gender Network, a non-governmental organization.



Mrs Ebele Grace Ufodike - Honourable Member, Board of Trustees

MRS EBELE UFODIKE is a renowned Educationist with a proven track record of over twenty years experience and excellence in Child education. She started her professional career as a teacher in various capacities, both in the University staff School, Ilorin and the Nigerian Army Children School in Northern and Southern Nigeria. She studied Child and Nursery Education at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and since then, has churned out over eighteen best –selling  nursery/junior primary school books used across Nigeria.

She is a woman with passion for children and has remained in the top echelon of private education as the pioneer headmistress of a notable international school in Lagos. She is a multi linguist who speaks the three major Nigerian Languages very fluently. She is a widely travelled woman and belongs to several humanitarian organizations, including the Nigerian Red Cross society where she is a life patron. Mrs. Ufodike’s passion for Children’s education, emancipation and liberation from ignorance and abuse are her major driving force as a member of the board of Trustee of Youth and gender Network



Dr. Ausbeth Nnamdi Ajagu, MFR - Chairman, Board of Trustees

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, a Political Economist, has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Political Science, Masters Degree (M.Sc) in Legal studies and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Business Administration. He is the Group Executive Chairman of Betcy Group of Companies with interests in Construction, Manufacturing and Real Estate. He is equally the Executive Chairman, Oak Hotels, Lagos, Abuja Oxford Hotels, Lekki Oxford Hotels, Lagos, Goldfish Insurance Brokers Ltd and President, Governing Council, AES Excellence Club, as well as AES Nigeria, Canada.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR who is an Industrialist, Entrepreneur, Author, Public Policy Analyst and Revered Motivational/Conference Speaker, has to his credit over 330 published articles and works which include the best-selling books titled “The Entrepreneur”, “Roadmap to True Greatness”’ “Building A Virile Nation… The Private Sector Perspectives,” “ The Secret of Winners” and “Great Success Secrets Exposed”

As a highly respected conference speaker, Dr. Ajagu has addressed over 250 different audiences nationally and internationally, for example, just recently he was elected to deliver the prestigious Chief Emeka Anyaoku 2nd Annual Lecture, which he did excellently and had a thunderous standing ovation. Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu recently in December 2012 too, in Cotonou, gave a life-changing management and motivational lecture to over 250 MTN mobile top management staff and MTN Trading Partners from across West Africa. As usual, he earned high accolades and standing ovation at the end.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, has represented The Nigerian private sector severally in different fora and conferences. For example, he gave the key note address on behalf of the Nigeria Organized Private Sector (OPS), in France in 2002 at the Nigeria Investment Forum and Manufacturing Exhibition (NIMEX 2002), with theme – “State of Security and Quest for Direct Foreign Investment Inflow in Nigeria – the Manufacturers’ Assessment”, also as the then President of the Nigerian Indonesian Business Association, Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu addressed the entire Developing Eight countries representatives in Indonesia at the D8 international summit in 2007 with theme, Enhancing D-8 Intra Trade”. Again on behalf of the Nigeria Private Sector – “Nigeria Business Landscape: The Industrialist’s Perspective.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, is a National Council Member and past alternate Chairman, SMI Committee of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. He is presently the Chairman, Corporate Affairs and Strategy Planning Committee of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, was President, Rotary Club of Amuwo (1997 – 1998), Chairman, Anambra State Oil Palm Development Agency Board (2000-2002); Member, Presidential Technical Committee on Road Maintenance, a 4-Star Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, amongst several others. He was also Chairman of the Institute of Directors Industry Committee (2003-2007); Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu also served on the Boards of the Nigeria Shippers’ Council and National Inland Waterways. He was also the Director, Standard Alliance Insurance Ltd.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, is The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Youth & Gender Network, a renowned and famous NGO. He is a member of the National Technical Working Groups of the Vision 20; 2020, as well as a member of Nigeria Economic Summit Group. He served on the Board of the Federal Government’s National centre for Agricultural Mechanism (NCAM). He is also a member of the Presidential Committee on job Creation.

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, is presently serving on the board of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR is a fellow of The Institute of Directors’ (IoD) Nigeria, Fellow; Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria; Fellow; Institute of Cost Management, Nigeria; Fellow, The Chartered Institute of Finance Consultants, Fellow and President of Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurial Institute, Academy for Entrepreneurial Studies, Nigeria (AES).

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, is the President of the Governing Council of the highly prestigious AES Excellence Club (Nigeria’s Intellectual Organization).

Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR, has received over 160 local and International awards which include the award for “The Overall Best Graduating Student, (Masters’ Degree Programme”) in Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, (1996/97) academic session),” Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century Awards (2002)” by International Biological Centre, Cambridge, England; “Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year Award” 1999 by Success Digest Enterprises; “Distinguished Alumnus Award for Leadership” 2001 by Ambrose Ali University Alumni Association; “Distinguished Professionalism Awards” 2002 by University of Nigeria Alumni Association;

He was also awarded the highly prestigious National Honours of a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in December, 2007 by His Excellency, Late President Umaru Musa Yar’dua, GCFR. He is the Spokesman of the highly exclusive Association of National Honours Awardees. Dr. Ausbeth Ajagu, MFR has been happily married to Rev. (Mrs.) Anuli Ausbeth-Ajagu since 1995 and both are blessed with three Children.
